The Mission of the Whitefish Theatre Co is to nurture
the creative and artistic passions of our community by
bringing the arts to life.
Whitefish Theatre Co. is governed by a volunteer board
of directors. Six full-time and three part-time staff
members work together with the Board and many, many other
community volunteers to bring the very best in the
performing arts to the Flathead Valley.
Whitefish Theatre Co. has the responsibility of
maintaining the I.A. O’Shaughnessy Cultural Arts Center,
a city-owned facility that is rented on a long-term
basis to WTC. The Center is available for use by other
community groups when WTC is not using the facility for
its activities. The O’Shaughnessy Center, built in 1998,
has become the premier arts center in the Flathead
Valley, providing a place for young and old to see a
good play, listen to fine music, view an independent
film, discuss local issues, or gather for a meeting or
reception.
